Congratulation to DSJ Chairman Dr. Terence Shih, Ching Hsien has been awarded "The 14th World Outstanding Chinese Award" by the "World Chinese Business Investment Foundation", and "Honorary Doctor of Business Administration" by "SABI University" and seal on 23 September 2015.

Dr. Terence Shih, Ching Hsienhaving self-taught the knowledge on business and jewellery, Dr. Terence Shih, Ching Hsien started his own company, Dai Sun Jewellery Company Limited in the 1990s.  The business soon expanded to Mainland China and Hong Kong and the company name became an international brand under his successful management.  However, Dr. Terence Shih, Ching Hsien true passion is in product design and charity work, and he has found a way to connect the two interests together to made more contribution to the world.   

Dr. Terence Shih, Ching Hsien was born in Jinjiang, Fujian, and he moved to Hong Kong with his family when he was 7 years old.  Inspired by family members, he joined the jewellery business and started to learn everything about business on his own.  Learning to do business in the jewellery field is never an easy task, yet Dr. Terence Shih, Ching Hsien conducted extensive research, and developed networks through various occasions in a short period of time.  By 1993, he had already successful established his own company – Dai Sun Jewellery Company Limited.

Dr. Terence Shih, Ching Hsien's leadership, Dai Sun Jewellery Company Limited made significant breakthroughs over the past few decades.  It received the International Certificate of "ISO 2008:9001", and was awarded "Consumer's Most Favorable Hong Kong Brands" recognition for 3 consecutive years from 2010 to 2012.  In 2012 and 2013, the company was awarded "100 Hong Kong's Most Influential Brands", not to mention other recognitions won by individual designers of the company in various international exhibitions. 

While he has become increasingly influential in the business world, Dr. Terence Shih, Ching Hsien's true passion is giving back to the society.  He is particularly committed to Corporate Social Responsibility and has made significant contribution to the field.  He is the Senior Vice President of a "Hong Kong St. John Ambulance", and he always encourages his employees to participate in volunteering work.  In 2014, Dai Sun Jewellery Company Limited started the campaign of charity sale of a series of jewellery products, and donated all its profits to "Haven of Hope", bringing design into the concept of charity work, and turning short-term donations into long-term commitments.

"The design of the jewellery is the most import part of a product, and creativity is all that matters to design." When talking about his insights in the field, Dr. Terence Shih, Ching Hsien points out. "Creativity is the way to success. And I want to turn creativity into charity work and benefit our society."

It is certain that with such vision, Dr. Terence Shih, Ching Hsien will lead his company to a bright future with many achievements, and give back even more to our society.
